Wysteria Edwards is an award-winning playwright and literature adaptor for the stage. She was selected to workshop her work at The Blank Theater of Los Angeles, CA (owned by ER fame, Noah Wiley), and is the former Literary Manager/Resident Playwright for UrbanTheater Company, Chicago, IL. She is a member of the Dramatist Guild of America, Chicago Dramatists, Northwest Playwright's Alliance, and has studied privately with acclaimed author Stuart Spencer and Steven Dietz. Her adaptation of Gloria Whelan's novel The Disappeared has been work-shopped Off-Broadway and grabbed the attention of The Goodman Theater, Chicago, IL. She has adapted for Harper Collins, Simon & Schuster, and Penguin Publishers. Her adaptations of Don Freeman's entire collection (Corduroy/Pocket for Corduroy), have been published by YOUTH PLAYS.
An accomplished singer and actress, she has performed in shows such as 1776, Secret Garden, Jekyll and Hyde (Lucy Harris), and I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change, and various others.
